Fry Tops Poll For Ideal Holiday Companion

If I was asked who my ideal travel companion would be then I don't think I would personally be alone when saying I wouldn't chose a celebrity. It would be either my boyfriend, my family or my best mate! People who you never get to spend enough time with, not someone I don't know, as in a celebrity!

However, a recent survey has asked British travellers who their ideal celebrity holiday companion would be, dished out some rather surprising results. Especially when it came to British travellers aged under 25 celeb of choice, who routed for brains over beauty, choosing the legend that is Stephen Fry! The list of people to chose from comprised of pop princesses, sports stars and A-list actors. Personally looking at the list I can see why Fry has ranked top of the list as his witty humour I'm sure would create a fair few interesting and amusing conversations.

What makes this pole's results more interesting is the fact that older holidaymakers chose singer Cheryl Cole as their ideal holiday companion. Someone who I thought would be most popular with the younger travellers! In fact Cheryl was so popular amongst all the different age ranges asked she came out as overall number one travel companion. Fry was second.

Other stars to top the list included David Beckham in third, Johnny Depp in fourth and Holly Willoughby fifth. Depp was easily the over 25's women's star of choice. Whilst Simon Cowell surprising ranked higher than Hollywood hunks, Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

Their was a divide between genders when it came to selecting where people would like to take their ideal celebrity holiday companion though, with women travellers seeking sun, sea and relaxation in Hawaii. Whilst men would prefer to party in Las Vegas.
