Wackiest Holiday Insurance Claim

There's many a famous tale in insurance circles about the crazy and wacky holiday insurance claims that sneak their way into the pile every so often... one of the more well known being that there's been more claims for lost and stolen Oyster Rolex watches than Rolex have ever actually manufactured! It doesn't end there, however, one couple claimed for a ruined trip to Malaysia when monkeys got in to their chalet through an open window and caused havoc, tearing up their clothes and scattering them all over the resort! Thankfully the insurance company were understanding and made sure they didn't have to re-wear the clothes on their back for their entire romantic holiday! Another couple weren't as lucky though when they holidayed in the Black Forest and returned to find a wayward goat chewing through passports and wallets! Sadly their claim was rejected as they'd been negligent in leaving the chalet door wide open! Another traveller attempted to claim for several hundred pounds worth of lost spicy Bombay Mix after he lost a bag's worth... and another still claimed for hospital expenses after getting stung by a scorpion after fishing for his wallet down a drain in Israel! Fortunately he was covered! One of the strangest claims, however, is from a family who went camping and had a surprise landing from a parachutist who jumped of course! They claimed for ruined camping equipment! And the funniest? A lady claimed for a stolen make up bag - which she told the police had ultra strong haemorrhoid cream decanted into a moisturising tub... certainly a surprise for the criminal! There's also just plain odd holiday insurance claims, like the company who received a claim for a 'guitar made entirely out of pumpkin'....
