Where Is Hot In March?
When it comes to looking for somewhere that is hot in March, you are still going to have to travel a little bit further to find the sun. Most of Europe is still in the winter/spring season, so for those looking to catch some rays on the beach the following destinations should be considered:
Canary Islands
The Canarys are just 50 miles north of the African coast, and have average winter temperatures of 23 degrees, meaning there is every chance of some sunbathing. There is a good choice of a few islands that you can visit, with the largest being Lanzarote and Gran Canaria, where each has many beautiful beaches and some great nightlife.
Thailand
There are many tropical islands off Thailand with beautiful and tranquil beaches, with very hot and humid conditions. You can stay for a fraction of the prices you normally see on holiday. The cost of living is low as well, with it being possible to get a slap up meal for around the equivalent of £10!
Islands like Pattaya and Phuket are very popular with tourists, and temperatures there in March can reach around 33 degrees celsius in the daytime, and only goes as low as 24 degrees Celsius at night, making the evenings probably as hot as one of the hottest British summer days!
Dominican Republic
This Caribbean island sees temperatures rising as high as 29 degrees Celsius in March, with very little rain each month leading to a nice, hot and humid holiday. The other Caribbean islands of Barbados and Cuba are also a great option for some spring sunshine.
Gambia
Gambia is one of those places that doesn't seem too obvious as a holiday destination immediately, but there are some great deals to be had, with 9 hours of sun every day at an average temperature of 34 degrees Celsius it should not be overlooked.
