A-Listers Who Just Can't Behave On Planes!

A-Listers Who Just Can't Behave On Planes!

We've all heard countless stories of hell raising celebs throwing many a tantrum in the public eye, but I really didn't realise how many celebs had made a nuisance of themselves onboard a flight! Some of these stars have been so badly behaved that they have actually had to be escorted off the plane by police!

First up is Alec Baldwin, who was kicked off a flight after refusing to stop playing a game on his phone whilst waiting to take off. The American actor was meant to be flying from Los Angeles to New York until the incident occurred.

Baldwin claims that he was being harassed for playing a game on his mobile phone, but according to crew members on the flight and the airline itself, Baldwin flew off the handle, slamming the door of the airplane toilet with such force that the flight's captain actually had to intervene. The star was then asked to leave the plane before takeoff.

Disgruntled by the argument, Baldwin has since refused to let the matter drop, heading straight to his Twitter account to tell the world about what had just happened to him. He has also appeared on a major American TV show dressed as a pilot, mocking the airline who kicked him off.

However, the airline hasn't backed down either, and they are now enquiring into wether it will be possible to ban all inflight entertainment that features Mr Baldwin, from his films to his popular TV sitcom!

So you think a celeb making a nuisance of themselves once would be enough wouldn't you? Well obviously not for Susan Boyle, who has so far had a hat-trick of mid-air tantrums! The first one was more of a family disagreement, when she started ranting at her niece when she heard her flight from Tokyo to Scotland was delayed! Then, onboard a different flight from LA, the Scottish singer had a mid-air meltdown after she pulled out of an appearance on a massive American TV show. The star is reported to have been singing and crying during the flight, stopping other passengers from sleeping.

Crying mid-flight seems to be a bit of a regular occurrence for Boyle, as her third in-flight tantrum again involved her crying and arguing with cabin crew for the majority of a 26hr journey to Australia. I never knew Miss Boyle was such a diva!!

However, Boyle is certainly not the only diva to have been obnoxious aboard a plane, Whitney Houston, Naomi Cambell and Courtney Love are all well and truly in the running for the crown of biggest diva with their onboard flight antics!

Whitney Houston was almost kicked off a flight in October 2011, after refusing to buckle her seatbelt, before her flight from Atlanta, Georgia took off. Houston, finally gave in allowing the attendant to do it for her, after being warned she would be asked to leave the plane if she refused. Yes she 'allowed' the attendant to do it for her! Don't know about you but if I'd have been the cabin crew member, I would have quite politely told the singer to do it herself!

So why is it that certain stars feel that they are so special that seatbelt rules don't apply to them? We've already heard how Whitney Houston kicked off when she was asked to buckle up, another celeb to take the same stance is Courtney Love. However, the altercation with Love onboard, went further than Houston's, as the rockstar was famously arrested at Heathrow in 2003 for apparently 'endangering an aircraft'.

Love was reported to have verbally abused crew members, as well as refused to sit in her seat and wear her seatbelt. It got so out of hand that police had to board the flight and escort Love off the plane. She was then taken to the airport's police station and later released with a caution for causing harassment, alarm and distress.

Naomi Cambell's onboard tantrum about missing luggage in 2008 also ended with the police getting involved, when the supermodel refused to leave the flight! However, this time a violent struggle with three police officers ensued, until Cambell was eventually handcuffed and marched off the plane. She was later released on bail after spending several hours at the police station, and was banned from flying with the major British airline ever again!

The incident occurred when the supermodel, who has a reputation for a fiery temper, flew into rage when she found out one of her bags had not been put on the Los Angeles bound flight. She is believed to have sworn at the captain and ordered him to bring her, her bags!

David Hasselhoff is another celeb who has been banned from the same airline as Cambell. The American star had been due to fly to Los Angeles from Heathrow, although, he reportedly downed bottles of beer and shots of whiskey in the airport whilst waiting to board the flight. When his flight was finally called to board, the star was denied access to the plane due to being drunk.

Ex-popstar, Brian McFadden has also found himself in trouble onboard a flight due to drunken behaviour, when he was marched off a flight from Los Angeles to Australia for allegedly lighting up a cigarette and being under the influence of alcohol. McFadden denied being drunk, though fellow passengers claimed he had been drinking heavily, and was shouting and being abusive to everyone around him.

The Australian Federal Police also confirmed that they were asked by the airline to meet the flight on arrival, though in the end there were no formal complaint made by the airline, and the singer was interviewed and released without charge.

Justin Bieber is another pop star who has been caught playing up onboard a plane, in May last year he saw himself labeled as a 'security risk' by a flight attendant. The young singer decided to leave his seat and go for a walk on a flight from Sydney to Melbourne as the plane was taxiing.

The flight attendant ordered the pop-star and his bodyguard to sit down, and told Bieber he would be treated like a child if he acted like one! He later apologised after she told him to respect her workplace! Go cabin crew member!

Next up is Liam Gallagher, I'm guessing you won't be surprised to see the Oasis stars name in another list about stars behaving badly, I know I wasn't! Anyway, the lead singer was famously banned for life in 1998 from a well known airline, after allegedly abusing crew members and passengers on a flight back from Australia! Passengers complained that Gallagher smoked, swore and threw objects at cabin crew on a flight from Hong Kong to Perth.

Thinking he would have learned from his last mid-air altercation, the rockstar again found himself in hot water with another airline in 2001, when he apparently humiliated a member of staff at Gatwick airport by touching her bum, prompting a police investigation.

However, the award for the most disgusting onboard celebrity tantrum, has to go to the French actor Gerard Depardieu who was removed from a Dublin bound flight from Paris in August 2011, after he urinated in the aisle in a bottle, because cabin crew refused to let him use the toilet before take off!! Yes you read that right!! He urinated in a bottle in front of all the other passengers!! The star later said he was desperate to go to the toilet after drinking a litre of water before boarding the plane, and also that he offered to clean up the mess, but was still thrown off the flight. Why didn't he just go to the toilet before he boarded the plane??

Do you have any other stories about celebrities behaving badly onboard a flight? If so we'd love to hear them!
