14 Gauguin Cottages with private splash pools:
(Approximately 268 sq.ft.) Situated close to the bird sanctuary lagoon about 50-yards from the beach. Each one consists of two separate thatched rondavels connected by a sheltered breezeway - one is an air-conditioned bedroom and the other is a dressing room/bathroom with ceiling fan and shower. Their splash pools measure a minimum of 7 ft. by 9 ft. and feature adjacent sundecks concealed by either the tropical vegetation or screens made from natural Spanish heather.

10 Superior Beachfront Rooms:
(Approximately 270 sq. ft.) These traditional single level rooms are located directly on the beach and feature vaulted celings, private terraces and ensuite bathrooms with showers only. A few seconds is all it takes to get from bed to sea, whilst rattan furnishings, louvered windows and colorful local art create a mood that is quintessentially Caribbean.

29 Deluxe Beachfront Rooms:
(Approximately 340 sq. ft.) Located in one or two-storey buildings on the beach, these more spacious rooms feature walk-in closets, bathrooms with showers and large beach patios with beach showers. Guests can walk straight out onto the sands from the lower level rooms, whilst upper floor rooms boast spectacular views over the Caribbean Sea.

16 Premium Beachfront Suites:
(Approximately 568 sq. ft.) The largest and most luxurious beachfront accommodation. Located in two-storey buildings, these contemporary split-level suites feature a sunken living room with a wet-bar, floor-to-ceiling windows with spectacular views, private furnished terraces or balconies and oversized bathrooms with bidets, his & hers showers and extra large bathtubs.

Why not begin your evening with a sundowner in our informal oceanfront Teepee Bar? Theres nothing quite like sipping a rum punch and watching the sun slowly sink behind the Caribbean Sea. Or you may prefer cocktails and hors doeuvres in our elegant Lounge Bar, the friendly staff and lively rhythms guaranteeing a memorable occasion.

Your table at the oceanfront Seagrape Restaurant then awaits, the award-winning Euro-Caribbean cuisine of our European Executive Chef showcasing the finest local produce and seafood. Or for a delightful change of scene, why not reserve one of the thatched cabanas in the more intimate Gauguin Restaurant? Here you can dine a deux on delicious grill-type fare enhanced by candlelight and the sound of the surf.

The Seagrape is our main restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Gauguin is a more informal grill open for lunch and dinner. There is live entertainment most evenings.

Dress Code: In the restaurants, shoes are worn and bathing suites are covered. After 6:30 p.m., men wear shirts with collars and short or long sleeves (no T-shirts or tank tops) and slacks (no shorts, jeans, capri or 3/4 pants); and women wear dresses, skirts, slacks, culottes or in the Summer tailored Bermuda-length shorts (no "short shorts", cutoffs or jeans).

Galley Bay is the perfect all-inclusive retreat for the discerning traveler. It's secluded beach setting on the tranquil west coast of Antigua, enjoys forty-acres of tropical gardens between a bird sanctuary lagoon and a three-quarter mile beach. Great care has been taken to ensure the resort complements these natural surroundings. Thatch, bamboo and terracotta establish an ambience of refined rusticity in the public areas, while a picturesque wooden deck ensures maximum exposure to the ocean views. There is little disruption from the outside world as access to the resort is via a wooden bridge. All guests are welcomed at the historical sugar mill reception and whisked by golf cart to one of the 69 suites and cottages. More than three-quarters of the accommodations lie directly on the white sand beach; the remainder tucked away in the gardens and boasting their own private splash pools.
