Accommodation

The 531 rooms in the hotel have either one queen size bed or two double beds. Each room also has a bathroom and shower, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box, mini-fridge, satellite TV and air conditioning. Standard rooms have shared bathrooms (2 rooms share 1 bathroom)

All Inclusive Food and Beverage

Upon arrival a refreshing welcome cocktail is offered for the guests. For your dining pleasure, choose between the Main Buffet restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner or one of the three a la carte restaurants. La Hacienda: Buffet Restaurant where breakfast and lunch are served. Everyday a thematic menu is prepared. Bucanero: Mediterranean restaurant, A la Carte and free buffet. La Foresta: Italian A la Carte. El Rincand#243;n Criollo: Cuban cuisine A la Carte style. Dinners in A la Carte restaurants require a reservation. Wine is served during the meals. The Main Bar serves drinks and snacks 24 hrs a day. Unlimited drinks, juices and national alcoholic drinks are offered throughout the day. Weekly cocktails organized by the hotels director. There is also a pool bar where drinks are served.

All Inclusive Sport and Entertainment

One of the most beautiful aspects of the resort is the swimming pool area where there are 7 pool connected by waterfalls. There is an infinity pool, a children's pool, relaxation pool and an activities pool. Pool towels and sun beds next to the pool and on the beach. Other activities available are dancing lessons, snorkelling, aerobics, aqua aerobics, archery, water polo, windsurfing, kayak, canoes, aquatic bicycles, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, football, basketball, billiards, tennis and a gym. The hotel has a complete, exclusive building dedicated to children and teens. The Kids Club has its own swimming pool, complete with child size deck chairs and patio furniture, a stage to perform, a mini disco for the evenings and child size toilets, buffet and beds. For older children, games room is available. The children's program is fully supervised for ages 0 - 13 years. After dinner, the modern theatre will become the stage for first class entertainment, from traditional Cuban folkloric shows to professionally trained, world class musicians and dance troupes. The disco is a fun spot at night with a DJ spinning the tunes til 2 am.

Building Works (May - August):

Work on improvement of the local beach is starting in May and is expected to continue into August. While the work is in progress guests of the hotel will be able to use the beach, dining and drinking facilities of 'El Ranchon' in the Pesquero Hotel (12 minutes away). A transfer service operates from the Occidental Grand Playa Turquese to the Pesquero from 09:00am-17:00pm.
