Right on Leipzig's inner ring road, the Furstenhof is between the historical Old Town to the south and the beautiful zoological gardens to the north. To the west is Leipzig's astonishing railway station, Europe's biggest. The Old Town contains most of Leipzig's major tourist sights including the Opera House, the huge central Market square, the renaissance Old City Hall and Thomaskirche, the church where Johann Sebastian Bach worked for most of his career. All the above are within easy walking distance of the hotel.
