The hotel is located at the top of the hill nearby Shinkyo bus stop, where 5 minutes by bus for Oku-Hosoo, Chuzenji Onsen, or Yumoto Onsen from JR or Tobu Nikko Station. Walking time to the hotel will be 25 minutes or so from JR or Tobu Station.

Exterior

This is an elegant and distincitve hotel, with striking and ornate carvings patterned on the nearby Toshogu Shrine at different places thoughout the hotel buildings. It is classic in architectural style. Established in 1873 it is the oldest continually operating resort hotel in Japan.
