Rooms

The rooms are of a very good standard and have tiled floors and en-suite bathrooms. All rooms have air-con, satellite TV, telephone, fan, mini bar and in-room safe. There is also a writing desk, wooden chairs and a balcony for guests use.

Restaurant

There are three restaurants at the resort. The large main restaurant offers a huge buffet with a wide variety of food to choose from. There is also a beach front restaurant that specialises in fresh seafood as well as a cafe/diner that serves food 24 hours a day..

Lobby

The large lobby is open plan and has marble floor and a seating area for guests. The reception desk is to the left as you enter and to the right is a shop, concierge desk and local information board.

Exterior

A beachfront property, the Whitesands is spread out over 22 acres of landscaped gardens. 3 storeys high in some accommodation blocks, the buildings are painted bright white with many of the blocks right on the sand beaches.

Hotel Description

One of the best resorts in Kenya with an excellent reputation and 200 metres of beautiful beach front, the longest seafront on the north coast of Mombasa. The resort is set amongst 22 acres of tropical gardens, swaying palm trees and swimming pools. The main outdoor swimming pool is huge and stretches out into different directions with shallow parts suitable for children. There is a water sports shop and office where guests can organise snorkelling and scuba diving. A children's club is available as is a baby sitting service. A variety of entertainment is on show every night. There are a number of sunbathing areas on the beach and around the resort - drinks and snacks can be ordered by the pool. (AHJ 07/04)
