Location

The Pangkor Laut Resort is situated on the privately owned island of Pangkor Laut three miles off the West Coast of Malaysia in the Straits of Malacca. Although the island encompasses a total of 300 acres, only a fraction has been developed to house the Resort and its Estates. The rest is covered by lush and unspoiled two million year old rainforest, with coves of beautiful beaches surrounded by an emerald sea. Pangkor Laut Resort is a 40 minutes flight or a three-hour scenic drive north of Kuala Lumpur, followed by a boat transfer to Pangkor Laut Island.

Accommodation

The Resort offers guests 148 luxurious villas and suites, with a choice of 5 different villa styles: Spa Villas, Sea Villas, Beach Villas, Garden Villas and Hill Villas. There are also 3 elegant one bedroom suites. 8 magnificent Estates are situated on an adjacent secluded bay. All villas have thermostat controlled air-conditioning, king-size bed, writing desk, an electronic safe, direct-dial telephone, hairdryer, refrigerator and coffee and tea making facilities. Additionally, there is a CD-player with a large selection of music available from the Library.

Dining at the Resort is sure to be a delightful experience. With a choice of superb venues, the options range from authentic Malay to traditional Chinese. The Garden Terrace commands a breathtaking view of the ocean and Pangkor Island just over yonder. With its rich, rustic traditional dcor and Caribbean style layout, this open-air coffee house serves up an exciting range of authentic Malaysian cuisine, complemented by a variety of Western favorites. Chefs with more than 70 years of combined culinary experience have put a new A la Carte menu together.

Emerald Bay a natural cove with a beautiful beach. Indoor recreational facilities feature an air-conditioned gym; multilingual reading library and a squash court.
