The Marina El Cid development on the Riviera Mayan corridor, located only 12 miles south of the Cancun International Airport will sit on a newly created complex just outside of Puerto Morelos, exactly half way between the city of Cancun and the town of Playa del Carmen; it includes several hotel lots, commercial areas, luxury housing and a state-of-the-art marina, which is currently in operation.

Location

The Hotel Marina El Cid Riviera Maya is located in the quiet town of Puerto Morelos and has a magnificent beach with a pristine coral reef, directly in front of the hotel. Nearby Playa del Carmen has one of the many exotic beaches in the area as well as the Mayan's best selection of restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Only four miles south of Playa del Carmen is Xcaret Natural Park, famous for allowing visitors to swim with the dolphins. It also features a 30-minute ride floating through caverns in an underground river (cenote). Additionally, the park includes butterfly and botanical gardens, a museum, a turtle farm, horseback riding, and snorkeling at a picturesque beach.

The Hotel Marina El Cid Cancun offers a 22,000 square foot, freeform swimming pool which features fantastic in-pool waterfalls with in-water lounge chairs and a large sundeck with a separate children's area with slide.

A variety of water sports is available including kayaking, windsurfing, boogie boards, snorkeling near the shore and hobbie cats. There is also a full service marina that offers diving excursions, a sport fishing fleet and ecological tours that depart from Marina El Cid, only one block from the hotel.
