The hotel has benefitted from a renovation in 2004 with an additional wing added and existing rooms transformed. Most Superior rooms have twin queen size beds, with all usual facilities such as mini bar, hairdryer and iron/ironing board. Bathrooms vary in size, but all have shower over bath. Rooms also include bathrobes.

The hotel has a restaurant serving international cuisine, and a small cocktail bar adjacent. In the evenings there is an opportunity to enjoy the Maori concert and Hangi feast that is a trademark of the city.
