Hotel Description

In this writer's opinion, this is Switzerland's best presented hotel. The craftsmanship involved in every aspect of its restoration is a credit to all involved. Highly recommended! RY07/05

This hotel is centrally located next to the 'Bundeshaus', the seat of government, and within walking distance of the medieval city centre with its quaint shopping arcades and legendary fountains.

Rooms

The large rooms have all recently undergone a full, meticulous renovation to the highest of standards. Most are traditional in style, whilst those on the top floor are unashamedly modern, but all benefit from the most up to date technology available inlcuding flat screen TV's and high speed internet connections. It goes without saying that both the rooms and the fabulous granite clad bathrooms are in absolutely exceptional condition. It will prove virtually impossible to find accomodation of a higher standard in Europe.

Restaurant

The restaurant is elegant with a large terrace for dining out in warmer weather with splendid views of the city.

Lobby

The large lobby with marble floors is beautifully decorated with an impressive stained glass ceiling. A lot of attention has been paid to detail in its decor and the beautiful traditional furniture and ornaments create a very regal scene.
