Resorts in Gambia
Take a trip to Gambia and you will experience a true blend of history, beauty, glorious sandy beaches and endless sunshine. The local people are extremely friendly which I’m sure is one of the many reasons that people return here year after year. Coastal erosion has had an effect on the countries beaches in the past but this is now under control and there are dedicated renovation programmes in place so the beaches are more or less now back to their original state. For nightlife and a great choice of places to eat out visit Banjul the Islands capital. If you are visiting with children then take a trip to the nature reserve to visit the monkeys or maybe let them try feeding time with the crocodiles.
Peanuts feature in many of the local dishes as this is the local export. Fresh fish is readily available especially barracuda, try the delicious local stews which are cooked on oopen fires, served with rice. The larger resorts offer anything from Italian to Indian, even some British.
