As Larnaca is claimed to be the oldest city in Cyprus, the city centre is divided up by historical, authentic shops, sandy beaches and paradise-like sun, and is famous for being ‘hot all year round'. Much of the ancient city of Larnaca still remains and lies between stone buildings and cathedrals and being situated on the beach front, there are several resorts that cater for all people. This includes quiet ones designed for couples and bigger beaches for all of the family.

Larnaca is well known for its diving centres that allow visitors to have once in a life time diving experiences. ‘Alpha Divers Dive Centre’ and ‘Dive-in Larnaca’ both offer short diving courses training amateurs to dive the same day. Larnaca is mostly favourited for its beaches such as Finikoudes Beach (one of the most popular) resting on Larnaca town and is meant to be one of the cleanest and sandiest beaches for miles around. Another popular activity in Laranca is the ‘Quad Bike Safari’ which includes tailor made safaris on quad bikes that will take you around the outsides of the town, offering some stunning views.
Along the Athincu Avenue shopping arcade, there are dozens of different restaurants offering traditional dishes and is said to be ‘One of the tastiest towns in Cyprus’. Larnaca offers a wide range of Cypriot favourites. The restaurants are known to serve lots of fresh sea food and other exotic flavours. Not only does Larnaca offer just Cypriot dishes, but amongst the massive amount of places to eat you will find British, Turkish and Greek specialities.
