With Arabic and Middle Eastern influences; Egyptian foods are based a lot on rice based recipes. The prices here are fantastic and you will find eating and drinking out really cheap, although remember alot of restuarants do not serve alcohol, but you are more that welcome to take your own. Local dishes are typically skewered grilled meats such chicken, but if you take a wander there are pubs where you will be served roast beef, curry or even bangers and mash.
Places Of Interest
Take a trip to Cairo and barter at the worlds largest bazzar, feel the tensions rising as you shout your price while been jostled by the crowds. There are many places of major interest you should visit, valley of the kings is just one, the ancient burial groung of many pharaohs, the most famous being Tutenkhamen which was found here in perfect condition. Visit the west bank of Luxor and become mesmerized by the magnificent temples and relics, which adorn this huge outdoor museum. Jump on board one of Luxor's horse drawn carriages to explore further into its regions. A visit to Karnak has got to be high on your list of places to visit here too, it is the largest and best preserved of all of the temples in Egypt, or alternatively you can visit the Valley of the Kings, the resting place of many pharos and noblemen, probably the most famous been Tutankhamun.
