Tobago is often described as the ultimate chill out destination, so if your looking to be entertained around the clock then this is defiantly not for you. One of the first things that strikes you is the relaxed pace at which everything is done, this could be due to the fact that there is very little tourism here and that Tobago remains largely under-developed. If lazing your day away on one of the picture perfect beaches, topping up your tan is not high priority then you could take advantage of the world class diving on offer at Speyside and come face to face with the sharks, turtles and manta rays or just marvel at the stunning corals. The hotels here are generally of the smaller boutique style which adds to the tranquil atmosphere that exudes from the whole island. For such a small island the choice of places to eat out is pretty amazing, local fare such as dumplings, provisions, and bakes can be as cheap as £3 per head, if you want to go a little more up market then there are new restaurants springing up all the time which offer great prices and variety.
