London City Airport (LCY)

Airport hero image
London City is a relatively new airport, aimed primarily at passengers looking for easy access to the financial district in the Capital. It's smaller than the others in the Capital, but that means that arrivals and departures can be much quicker and easier for passengers. The airport handled 4.5 million travellers in 2017, with this figure set to rise to 6.5 million after the completion of the development programme.
Did you know?
The approach to London City Airport is steeper than most at 5.5 degrees because of the built up surrounding areas. As a result of this, operations have to be stopped when tall ships sail down the Thames and past the end of the runway.
