New York You won't find a better place in the USA to hit the shops than NYC!
Did somebody say shopping? Count us in. If, like us, you have a love of finding bargains, trying on new outfits and filling your basket with goodies then you’ll know the shopping addiction is real. We’ve spent a lot of time researching the best destinations to shop in around the world, for work purposes obviously. It would be selfish of us to keep this research to ourselves, so here are our top 5 holiday hotspots for a spending spree.
If shopping for homewares and decorative pieces is your bag, then the markets and souks of Marrakesh are perfect for you. With busting streets packed full of rugs, lamps, spices and fabrics, you’ll be dazzled by the beautiful items on offer - from intricate patterns to bold - colours there’s something to catch all eyes. If you do find yourself in the markets and souks, remember to never pay the first price; haggling is part and parcel of the whole shopping experience.
Surely New York is the ultimate shopping destination? Streets upon streets are packed with everything from thrift stores and designer boutiques to hipster gems, and there is literally something for every kind of shopper. If you want to beat the hustle and bustle outdoors, stick to the amazing department stores, like Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue. If you're more of a high street brand person, the outlets are for you as they house stores such as Forever 21, H&M and Sephora.
South Korea is the capital of technology and beauty, which makes it the perfect place to pick up the latest in both for good prices. However, Seoul is becoming more well known for their fashion stores lately and with many of their malls not having regulated hours, you can pick up the latest trends 24 hours a day.
Korean Beauty is what shapes the beauty trends of the west and South Korea is at the forefront of the latest innovations, so be sure to check out any and all of the stores here.
If there is one thing the UAE can do it’s extravagance, which also includes their shopping malls and stores. Dubai is the capital when it comes to high end shops such as Chanel, Gucci, YSL & Hermes. However it’s not just the latest designer handbag that you can pick up in Dubai, you can also find many treasures in the markets. The waterfront souks are full of stalls selling spices, Persian rugs and stunning homewares and, much like Marrakesh, it’s common to haggle for a bargain.
Admiralty, Central and SoHo are the top districts for a spot of shopping in Hong Kong. In SoHo, you'll find designer boutiques and high end stores – so be sure to take plenty of cash with you. For a less costly shopping spree, Causeway Bay is the perfect place as it has a wide variety of stores including high end and high street.
