Searching for a change of scenery? The Barbados government has recently introduced the 12-month Barbados Welcome Stamp, allowing people to relocate and work remotely from the beautiful island of Barbados. Great news for those of you who can work anywhere with internet access. If you're craving sun, sea and sand, then look no further. A truly inspiring home away from home; apply today and give your home office the ultimate upgrade.
The 12-month Barbados Welcome Stamp is a visa for a non-national who is employed in a country other than Barbados. The visa offers new opportunities for anyone whose work is location-independent, whether individuals or families.
If you'd like to apply, you'll need to complete and submit the following documents electronically:
• Passport-sized photograph
• Bio data page of passport
• Proof of relationship of dependents
The process will begin with 48 hours of receiving a complete application. The visa will be confirmed or denied in five working days or less. Just think, you could be swimming with turtles or learning to surf at Freights Bay in no time. Applications are now open here.
Upon approval of your application, the following non-refundable fees are applicable:
• Individual - Fee of US $2,000.00
• Family Bundle - Fee of US $3,000.00
The Welcome Stamp is issued upon arrival in Barbados and is valid from that date for 12 months. Imagine 365 days to discover (and work from) the stunning landscapes of Barbados. Zoom meetings are decidedly better from Crane Beach or anywhere that isn't your living room.
Barbados provides the ultimate working environment with a year-round warm climate and world-class beaches. The delicious Bajan cuisine is a welcome addition to meetings. With an estimated 1500 rum shops, you're sure to find a new after-work tipple. Individuals and families are drawn to Barbados for the brilliant work-life balance. With the fastest fibre internet and mobile service in the Caribbean, it's easy to get things done. The high standard of education available from nursery to university level is a key part of Barbados' appeal, along with its stable economy.
Food, culture and gorgeous beaches; Barbados has plenty to offer. Capital city Bridgetown has a rich history showcased through the parliament buildings, cathedrals and spectacular architecture. You're never far from a captivating UNESCO world heritage site. Wildlife enthusiasts will see an array of animals on the island, head to the Barbados Wildlife Reserve to witness the famous green monkeys. Whether you have a beach picnic, barbeque or weekend "lime", socialising and getting back to nature are key aspects of living in Barbados. Those who like the outdoor lifestyle will feel right at home.
