Given the recent resumption of lockdown measures up and down the country, holiday enthusiasts are trying to find different ways of getting their travel fix. One way to gain copious amounts of dreamy getaway inspo is to explore Instagram, a place with many snazzy snaps of destinations all around the world.
Appetite amongst holidaymakers for trips to the Canary Islands was sky high just before the lockdown measures were tightened, as the likes of Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria were all added to the government’s travel corridor list and that left us here at icelolly.com all craving our next Spanish island adventure.
Check out the best of the Canaries below and who knows, it could be the next holiday spot you add to your travel hitlist.
First of all we’re taking a look at Tenerife – one of the most popular holiday spots amongst UK travellers for a number of years. With glorious beaches and a scorching hot climate almost all year round, it’s not hard to understand why it’s so loved by so many.
This image of Playa Las Teresitas has us dreaming of feeling that golden sand in between our toes, gazing out onto the crystal clear waters with a drink or two in hand!
When it comes to snapping snazzy Insta shots, sometimes it really is all about the angle. This stunning picture of Corralejo’s Natural Dunas Park makes us crave a trip to Lanzarote more than ever, what with the stunning coastline and infarction dunes that make this particular island such an appeal for tourists.
Yes that’s right, another beach - we’re developing a bit of a theme here, aren’t we! It’s well known that the Canary Islands are a haven of glorious stretches of sea and sand, and that’s certainly no different in Gran Canaria.
Particularly spectacular during autumn, it’s a nice alternative to the dark and gloomy weather that is often experienced on these shores at that time of year.
There’s something pretty special about a quaint town perfectly placed on the edge of a stunning coastline. That’s exactly why we’ve picked out this super snap of Fuerteventura, where the views are spectacular and your holiday will be as calm and relaxing as they come.
Boat trips are a great way to spend any Canary Islands trip, allowing you to set eyes upon the beaches from afar and take a dip into the warm, turquoise waters.
Quaint and quiet coves are one of our absolute favourite things to find when on holiday. As the picture says, the word breathtaking can often be overused in travel, but not here!
Let’s just take a minute to imagine ourselves here, taking a swim, looking out onto that view with a nice spot of lunch and your drink of choice…….
…..and breathe.
Would you consider a trip to the Canary Islands for your next holiday?
