Puerto Banús resort and beach near Marbella in the Costa del Sol

Puerto Banús Marbella's beaches have got something for everyone!

With the TOWIE cast topping up their tans in Marbella it might make you wonder where the best beaches so that you can get that bronzed glow. To make life as relaxed as possible for you, we’ve rounded up our favourite beaches in Marbs, so you know where to head for some downtime in between all the partying!

Best for Chilling Out

We know the feeling, you’ve had a big night and just want somewhere peaceful to rest your weary head. Playa Hermosa is one of those beaches where you can relax on the warm sand while listening to the waves splash on the shoreline. Around 10km away from Marbella centre, this beach is easily reached by car and there are also pedalos and canoes available for rent if you fancy a peaceful day on the ocean.

Bounty Beach, or Playa del Cable, is also a great beach for a chilled out day in the sun. With the palm and banana trees fringing the sand this beach provides a truly tropical feel to any day out. With 1300m of dark Mediterranean sand to choose from you’ll be able to find a quiet patch for the day and if you do fancy joining civilization for a couple of hours, the beachside chiringuito will be able to provide some delicious food for the afternoon.

Best for Beach Activities

Yes, the beach might be a good place to catch up on some much needed sleep but it’s also a place to have a lot of fun! If you’re looking for somewhere to rent a jet ski or pedalo, Cabopino is the beach to be at. There’s also the chance to go on dolphin watching trips or to hire a boat out between you and your friends.

At Playa Nueva Andalucia you go parasailing or take advantage of some new body-wake equipment and go wild in the water. If you’re staying in Puerto Banus, you’ll be able to wander along the palm tree lined Maritime walkway in between the town centre and the beach. With plenty of refreshments along the way you can just take a steady stroll to the beach, there’s no need to rush in Marbella!

Best for Exclusivity

Marbella has its fair share of exclusive yachts and bars, so it’s only right that there should be exclusive beaches as well. However, just because they’re exclusive doesn’t mean you have to stay away from them. Nikki Beach is one of the finest exclusive beaches of them all yet you can still enjoy the champagne parties and world class DJ’S. The beautiful beach beds and great views do come at a bit of a price but you’re on holiday, why not treat yourself to some unforgettable beach time?

If you don’t want to fork out the cash, spend your day at Playa Real de Zaragoza. This part of the coast borders Nikki Beach meaning you can have the same views without the price tag! Then if you head along Marbella’s Golden Mile and you will come across Playa Nagueles, home to some of the finest restaurants, bars and hotels in the area. This playground for the rich and famous has a perfectly clean golden beach and you can admire the coastline by renting a bike from the local chiringuito.

Best for Entertainment

Out of the 23 beaches along the Marbella coastline, Playa Fontanilla is one of the closest to Marbella town centre. Although it may not be one of the quieter beaches, everything is right on its doorstep. It’s close to the classy shops of Marbella and the nearby restaurants serve up top notch food. So if you want a relaxing day but can’t bear to be away from the action for too long, Playa Fontanilla is where you need to be for the day!
