Egypt is a bit of a question mark right now – while the FCO has no advice against staying in any of the Red Sea tourist resorts, they are still advising against all but essential air travel to Sharm El Sheikh. As a result, direct flights from the UK to Sharm remain unavailable and tour operators are hesitant to offer it as an option. This article from the Independent points to signs that flights to Sharm may be resuming later this year, which would put an extremely popular budget all inclusive destination back on the map.

She also recommends the hop-on-hop-off Big Bus Tour to easily see the city and make sure you don’t miss any of the top landmarks.
