Armier Bay Beach

A scenic walk along Malta's glorious coastline will take you to Armier Bay Beach. This stretch of golden sand is the perfect location to bring the family, boasting crystal blue seas and plenty of amenities.

The beachside restaurant, Mambo, is also handy for food; it doesn't matter whether you are looking to enjoy a hearty meal or just to grab something light, you can enjoy delicious cuisine overlooking the beautiful ocean view. They also have a great drinks menu, so you can indulge in a cocktail. There are other bars and restaurants in the area, too.

Armier Bay Beach is accessible to wheelchair users and people with disabilities. Umbrellas and sun beds are available for hire and toilets can be located on site, as can parking. The sea is safe for swimmers and proves popular with families who are in search of waters that their children can play in.

Bugibba beach

Bugibba beach is an intimate, man-made beach that offers gorgeous views of the sea and endless horizon. Visitors come here when they want to kick back and laze in the sun; sunbeds are available to be hired. It's also a great place to take a dip in the sea, the shallow waters make Bugibba beach a safe spot for children to have a splash about in, too.

Bugibba beach is handy for local amenities, including the shops and a wide selection of bars and restaurants. So, if you are feeling peckish, you have plenty of places to choose from to grab a bite to eat, or enjoy a hearty meal.

It is also close to the local harbour, so a short stroll gives you the opportunity to watch the various boats and yachts pulling in and out. Some run trips out to sea if you fancy booking an excursion. The harbour and Bugibba beach are both very romantic settings at sunset, allowing you to watch the sun go down behind the hills close to the beach.

Dahlet Qorrot

Located on the Island of Gozo, Dahlet Qorrot is a beautifully secluded bay that makes for a fantastic day of exploration. The remote location of Dahlet Qorrot means that it is not overcrowded like some bays in the more touristy areas of Malta, so visitors usually have a good level of privacy when they visit this beach.

Protected by cliffs on either side of this cove, Dahlet Qorrot's crystal clear seas are generally calm, so they are safe for children to enjoy a splash about in the water. Many local fishermen set out for sea from Dahlet Qorrot, and many locals sit outside their homes and play cards, making for a very quaint and friendly spot to visit.

Public toilets are located on site and there is plenty of parking if you are driving there. There is also a snack van where visitors can purchase snacks, ice creams and drinks.

Golden Sands Beach

Golden Sands Beach is one the most popular beaches to be found anywhere in Malta, offering visitors a beautiful view and somewhere to chill out. Located in St Paul's Bay, this stretch of sand is one of the cleanest Malta has to offer and is the perfect place to bring the family.

The sea is just as clean and proves popular with people who enjoy water sports, with many boats whizzing by further out. Closer to the shore, swimmers can take a dip in the crystal blue waters and children can also enjoy a splash about in the shallower sections.

The beach is handy for bars and cafes and umbrellas are available for hire if you want to stay in the shade during your visit. There's also plenty of parking available above the beach if you are driving in. Public toilets are located nearby, so if you have small children this is the ideal beach to bring them.

Hondoq Bay

Hondoq Bay can be found on the Island of Gozo and is one of the most idyllic beaches that Malta has to offer, making it immensely popular with holidaymakers from all over the world.

If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a swim in Malta's beautifully blue waters, look no further than Hondoq Bay. The ocean off this bay is safe and calm, so it's usually full of swimmers of all ages. It also makes for a great location to go snorkelling.

The beach itself is relatively small, but it is a very peaceful environment and is well maintainted.

There is a public parking by the bay, so if you are driving here, you should have somewhere to park. Umbrellas and sun beds are available for hire and local kiosks give you the choice of grabbing a bite to eat and a drink if you are feeling peckish.

Marsalforn Bay

A short ferry ride from Malta's mainland will take you to the Island of Gozo, where you can find the picturesque Marsalforn Bay. The bay is home to a small beach that makes for an idyllic setting to sit back and unwind. Here, visitors can swim in the clear, warm waters and stroll along the coastline to admire the view.

The bay is surrounded by local shops and kiosks, so there are plenty of facilities to take advantage of. This quaint setting is incredibly photogenic, so if you have your camera be sure to take some snaps to remember your trip. Marsalforn Bay also makes for a very romantic sunset stroll, allowing you to watch the sun go down over the coean.

Paradise bay beach

Paradise Bay beach is one of Malta's most popular destinations for visitors who want to experience the best of sun, sea and sand. Located at the farthest north point of Malta, Paradise Bay beach has a designated area for swimmers, which stretches out quite a way, making sure that the waters aren't overcrowded. The shallow shore is ideal for children to play in. The sea itself is a crystal clear shade of blue and the water is warm.

Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire and are lined along this beautiful stretch of sand. If you want to kick back and relax on the beach, the white sands are the perfect place to do so, offering calming views of the boats on the horizon.

There's no need to pack a lunch, plenty of outlets can be found nearby for food and drink, all of which are as delicious as each other. Toilets and other facilities are also handily located in close proximity to Paradise Bay beach.

Qbajjar bay

The waters of Qbajjar Bay are ideal for divers. The deep ocean that leads out from the bay, complemented by the rocky diving spots that close around it, make it the perfect spot for those who enjoy diving to indulge their passion. However, for the same reason, the sea in this area is not recommended for children as it gets very deep, very fast.

It is advisable that you bring some beach shoes with you for your visit to Qbajjar Bay as the beach is made up of pebbles. The stretch which leads to the sea is also quite rocky, so it's best to have something on your feet. While this may not be the best beach for laying back and soaking up the sun, you can't beat it for the gorgeous views of the crystal clear ocean.

The view of the bay at sunset is absolutely breathtaking and makes for a romantic walk along the coast. There are also restaurants and bars nearby.

Ramla Bay

The Ramla Bay Resort is home to a golden, sandy beach which is a haven of peace and tranquillity for holidaymakers from all over the world. Aside from the peaceful surroundings and calm blue ocean, the beach is also tranquil because it is private and open exclusively to the resort's guests. If you choose to stay at the Ramla Bay Resort, you will have direct access to this private beach, where you can relax on a sun lounger or enjoy the warm waters of the ocean.

Water sports prove popular with the resort's visitors and equipment is available to hire. If you would rather just enjoy a leisurely swim in the sea, the private beach can cater to that, too.

It is also two kilometres away from Melleiha's sandy beach, giving you the choice to visit a more touristy location if you want a livelier atmosphere.

St. Georges Bay

Located in Saint Julian's, St George's Bay is home to a delightfully sandy beach that is close to a great range of eateries. The beach is very clean and is a popular choice for those who want to lay back on a towel and sunbathe.

The sea is warm and shallow, so is perfectly safe for youngsters to have a splash about in, as well as for older swimmers to head a little further out. Parking is available on site and access for the disabled is also provided to ensure that people of all abilities can enjoy this stretch of sand.

Umbrellas are available for hire and a kiosk can be found on the beach, selling ice creams, snacks and cold drinks, so there's no need to travel too far for refreshments. There is also a lifeguard on site and a first aid point.
