Ibiza is an island of contrasts, its south side dominated by the loud clubbing resorts of San Antonio and Playa d'en Bossa while the north is known for quiet countryside, hippy markets and yoga retreats. While Ibiza is best known as one of the world's leading party destinations, it also has resorts and activites perfect for family holidays, relaxing beach breaks or couples' getaways.

Things to Do in Ibiza

If you're in Ibiza for the party season, take your pick from superclubs like Pacha, Space, Ushuaia and Amnesia and spend your days recharging on the beaches of San Antonio. The sunsets are not to be missed, and you can watch with a drink in hand from Cafe Mambo or Cafe del Mar. Shopping addicts should head to the colourful hippy markets in Es Cana and San Carlos, and a visit to Ibiza Town's beautiful old town is not to be missed. You can even experience your own island getaway on a budget, by taking a ferry to the pristine beach island of Formentera.

Food and Drink in Ibiza

Ibiza offers all the raditional Spanish staples - paella is popular here made with freshly caught seafood, and visitors can enjoy sampling lots of different dishes at one of the many tapas restaurants. The variety in dining experiences is huge - you can get a reservation at one of the exclusive beach clubs, or pull up a chair at a budget local eatery.  If nightclubs don't appeal you'll probably find yourself watching the sunset at one of San Antonio's cocktail bars, or cosying up in a rustic wine bar.
