Playa Jardin beach can be found in the tourist town of Puerto de la Cruz, in the north of Tenerife, and is one of the most famous stretches of sand in the whole of the region. Designed by the famous Canarian artist Cesar Manrique, the beach has been a favourite with tourists and locals alike since the 1990s.
Playa Jardin beach can be accessed by a delightful pathway via the gardens, which are home to a wide variety of local plants. The pathway takes you between stone walls and beautiful waterfalls, which make for a perfect start to a relaxing day on the beach.
This stretch of sand also provides visitors with fantastic views of Mount Teide. The black sand makes for a gorgeous contrast of the crystal blue ocean; the waters are calm and great for children who want to play in the sea. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available for hire.
