Villa Holidays

Villa Holidays image

From families and groups to couples, anyone and everyone can enjoy a home away from home while on holiday. Choose from a range of family-friendly properties, luxury villas, remote hideaways, and villas situated within hotel resorts, depending on your party size and preference.

Why take a villa holiday?

There are a multitude of advantages to renting a private villa over booking a hotel room stay. Not only do you get complete privacy and have the freedom to live like a local by enjoying your holiday at your own pace, but you’ll also have plenty of space to spread out and relax, both inside and out.

Better yet, parties of four or more can often save money by swapping a hotel for a villa. When it comes to holiday rentals, think the more the merrier as the larger the group, the bigger the per-person saving can work out. You can also save on living costs by heading to the supermarket and cooking some of your meals yourself.

Where is the best place to rent a private villa?

Although the world is your oyster and you can rent a villa in the majority of destinations across Europe and beyond, popular hotspots include the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, mainland Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey.

Some villas are located in secluded areas, but there are plenty of other villas situated in the heart of a resort or near to the beach. Where to stay within these destinations completely depends on the sort of holiday you have in mind. For instance, if you’re travelling with a group of friends and plan to party until the sun goes up, you may need a villa close to a selection of bars and clubs, whereas if you want to relax and completely enjoy a quiet villa holiday with family, you may prefer to stay in a more quaint area where you can only hear the sound of the waves or the surrounding nature.

What facilities does a villa have?

All villas come complete with well-equipped kitchens and an outdoor lounging area. However, depending on the property and the travel provider, you may have to pay more for additional extras like private or shared pools, satellite TV, WiFi, air-conditioning and more. To put your mind at ease and avoid any surprises, make sure you politely ask what’s included prior to booking.

Will I need a car?

Some travel providers, including TUI and Jet2Villas, include free car rental as standard in all their villa holidays, while others may just cover 2-way airport transfers. Make sure to ask before finalising your booking.
