This tiny Greek island was made famous by the film Shirley Valentine, with its whitewashed houses, non-stop sophisticated nightlife and top tanning spots you wouldn’t believe how much there is to do here. Over the last few years it has become more popular with the more chic younger visitor. Paris Hilton was spotted here planning her forthcoming wedding, others are attracted by the great choice of water sports, being able to shop day and night for designer clothing and the lively bars and clubs. Mykonos centre is a traffic free zone, and with its numerous, narrow streets it’s no wonder people get lost here. Street maps are available, but why bother, getting lost is all part of the fun of visiting this town. If you want to try something different give Mykonos a try. You might be pleasantly surprised.
