A holiday to Turkey offers excitement and adventure, mixed with tranquil beaches and unique experiences. Tranquil turquoise waters, incredible white sand beaches and sizzling Turkish sunshine. What more could you ask for from your next beach break? Dive right in and discover the colourful Turkish culture that awaits on the glorious shores of these breathtaking Aegean Seas.

Turkey is home to the traditional Turkish Bath, with many dotted around different resorts located here. So, when you want to take a day out from the sun, book a luxurious pamper experience. If rich culture is more your thing, visit the fascinating architecture at Bodrum Castle, or sip on a local tea at the sociable Tea Gardens.

There’s also an array of wondrous waterparks to visit, perfect for the whole family, including the popular Bodrum Aqualand and for thrill seekers, Dolusu Park Kemer in Antalya. In fact, many hotels actually neighbour waterparks and some even provide exciting slides and rides on-site.

  • Traditional Turkish Baths

Lie on a heated marble slab and truly relax, at one of Turkey’s many traditional Hammams, also known as the Turkish Bath. Turkish Baths give you the chance to not only relax on holiday, but pamper yourself, too. Holidaymakers tend to book a Turkish Bath at the beginning of their holiday, as the relaxation ritual involves your skin being gently exfoliated, preparing your newly scrubbed skin to soak up the sun’s rays more effectively.

  • Authentic Tea Gardens

Turkey has many quirky and unique traditions, Tea Gardens (çay bahçesi) being one of them. Venture over to one of many calming Tea Gardens to get a feel of Turkeys oldest sociable tradition. Sip and smell the sweet and tangy aroma of apple tea, or inhale the rich scent of Turkish black tea and coffee, sifting through the transparent glass mug it arrives in.

  • Unique, local cuisine

The traditional Turkish Döner Kebap, known as a Doner Kebab in England, tastes much better served up in its homeland. This local delicacy is grilled to perfection and sumptuously seasoned with suet and an array of local herbs and spices. Whereas, Yaprak Sarma – wrapped vine leaves encased with soft rice, sizzling onion and famous Turkish spices like cinnamon, pepper and mint, is a popular dish among vegetarian tourists.

Activities

Turkey holidays provide exhilarating adventures and exciting activities to choose from. Animal lovers flock to Antalya Zoo, to watch the herd of beautiful Zebras gallop across the open land. Children love the life-size models of dinosaurs at Dino Park, too, and parents enjoy the authentic feel of the forest landscape.

A holiday to Turkey entails rippling golden sands, vast beaches and sparkling blue seas. Turkey’s most famous beach, Ölüdeniz is simply stunning, thanks to its fine, white sands and breathtaking mountain views. The beaches located in Alanya encapsulate the hustle and the bustle of this busy town, but the beaches stretch as far as 22km. So, if you grab a sunbed early enough, you’ll have no trouble relaxing in the sun all day.
