This city of Gambia's capital is extremely cultural.

There is an obvious contrast between its local and tourists streets, but it is one of the best places to get a real feel for African lifestyle.

One of Banjul's best national parks is 'The River Gambia National Park' which tourists highly recommend. It's a great place to unwind and relax, as well as experience the opportunity of a lifetime.

You'll be travelling by boat and foot to experience its beauty, and you'll even get to meet and greet its local workers. Here you can expect to see all kinds of animals such as monkeys including chimps, crocodiles, hippos and exotic birds.

This enchanting park is bound to take your breath away, as you will also discover its fascinating views. Another place to get up and close to some cheeky monkeys is at the Bijilo Forest Park, home to forest animals, again, amazing walking routes.

Many chances to go fishing and take boat rides are also available in Banjul, making sure you see as much as you can. One must do activity here would be to visit the Banjul flee market, where you'll be able to get hold of some handmade jewellery and upholstery.

If you haven't opted for the obvious choice of going all inclusive in Banjul, don't worry as you'll find a handful of traditional eateries to eat out at.
