Whether you want to sun yourself on golden beaches, wade through warm seas or swim the channel of eternal love, you can do it all – and much more besides – on a holiday to Sidari in beautiful Corfu.
It’s easy to fall in love with the beach. But if you want to fall in love on the beach, there’s no better place than Sidari’s Canal d’Amour. Legend has it that if you swim here you’ll find your soulmate.
Not on the lookout for eternal love? There are other beaches and other, more platonic, activities to try out. Sidari’s main stretch of sand is well stocked with whatever your beach day heart desires – laze on a comfy sun-lounger, hang out at a beach bar, or head out to sea on a paddleboard and test your core strength.
If you’ve ever wondered why this corner of the globe serves up some of the world’s best literature, art and philosophy, one taste of tzatziki will give you your answer. Greece’s writers, artists and thinkers were clearly well nourished!
Keftedes, souvlaki, stifado, calamari… no wonder their brains were brimming with brilliance. Settle in for some sensational seafood at Savannah Seaside or tuck into mouthwatering meat dishes over at The Hive. The lamb shank is legendary.
And don’t think Sidari is sleeping on the vegans. The Greek Village has a good vegan menu alongside its epic moussaka and gemista stuffed veggies.
The beauty of being on a Greek island is you’re always near plenty more. Turn one holiday into three with a hop from Sidari to the little islands of Diaplo, Mathraki and Erikousa, where you’ll find dramatic rocks, luscious landscapes and very few folks.
Back in Sidari, book a boat tour up the Peroulades coastline to see it in all its brilliant beauty. Take in the dual beach at Porto Timoni and the green and white glory of north Corfu.
Best for... A beach break with romance in the air 😍
Go... By boat to the dreamy Diaplo, Mathraki and Erikousa islands ⛵️
You have to... Take a dip in Canal d’Amour for eternal love 🌹

Sidari delivers everything you could possibly want from a day by the bay. And we’re not exaggerating. The golden sands and calm, clear waters of this Blue Flag beauty are just for starters.
Want to explore the waves? There are pedalos and canoes for that. Or if you want a little more wind in your hair, parasailing, paragliding and water-skiing will do the trick. When it’s time to refresh, it’s a pleasant wander to a beachside bar.
Whoever said good things come in small packages has obviously enjoyed a night out in Sidari. It may not be Corfu’s biggest resort town, but its bars and clubs are up there with the best on the island.
Start your evening’s entertainment with a wine at The Vine, then order a meze to the terrace at the Ionian Blue Taverna. If bar means boogie as far as you’re concerned, you’ll want B.E.D. We’re talking live music most nights and a 2am kick out.
Sidari’s compact sands, lined with loungers and fringed with warm shallows, are ideal for family beach days. But when the brood has extra energy to burn, there’s only one thing for it – more water!
Take the clan down to Sidari Water Park to pose on pirate ships, fly down flumes and splash about till the sun sets. If your lot prefers to tear it up on terra firma, hop in the saddle and head for the olive groves on horseback. Because the family that neighs together stays together.
If you’re visiting Sidari to don your swimmers and swan around on the sand, you’ll want to touch down between June and September when balmy temps reach the mid-to-high 20s.
Cheap holidays to Sidari are up for grabs in the off season. But with highs of 15C in November and March, maybe avoid the winter. For a bargain break with the sun well and truly on its perch, try the shoulder season in May or October.
