Holidays to Sidari

Overview

Sidari is a great all-rounder, a relaxed former fishing village that became popular in the eighties for its beautiful beaches, fun things to do and lively nightlife. The resort’s great location on the north coast makes day trips possible – ideal for adventures! A holiday in Sidari is perfect for families, couples and groups alike looking for a varied and fun-filled week in the sun.

Things To Do

Sidari is well-placed for visiting nearby resorts; Corfu Town, the island’s capital is less than an hour’s drive away for an educational day out visiting the Venetian fortresses and pretty Old Town. Just down the road is the ancient village of Peroulades – the beach is very narrow but it’s worth a stop for the views! You can also take boat trips from Sidari harbour to the nearby Diapontia Islands.

Beaches

Sidari has a large main beach where visitors can sunbathe on the sand, take a cooling dip in the sea, enjoy watersports or hire boats. The beach has a Blue Flag award, guaranteeing cleanliness, and the water is shallow enough for kids to paddle safely. The area is well known for its tiny coves and canals, particularly the Canal D’Amour; legend says that those who swim its full length will soon meet their soulmate.

Nightlife

Sidari is a fun resort at night – it’s not on the same party level as Kavos but there is a decent choice of bars and clubs that stay open late for those who are in the mood for a night out. Many bars put on entertainment nights featuring anything from pub quizzes to karaoke to tribute acts, and there are plenty of sports bars where you can watch your favourite team!
