Lara Beach in Antalaya is a resort with a difference! Jokingly dubbed as ‘Turkey’s answer to Las Vegas’, Lara Beach is a showy resort hosting flashy, luxurious hotels, many of which are designed to look like famous landmarks including the Kremlin and the Titanic. The hotels dominate the resort, featuring their own restaurants, bars and shops, so most visitors go all inclusive and are happy to spend the majority of their time inside the hotel complex.
In Lara Beach the hotels are the attractions; the restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops are mainly based inside the hotel complexes. Most holidaymakers spend their days relaxing by the hotel pool or browsing the designer shops in the shopping malls, and there are also weekly markets where you can test out your haggling skills and pick up fairly-priced jewellery, leather goods and locally-made crafts.
As you might expect, the seafront hotels have claimed sections of the beach as private spots exclusively for their own guests. If a good beach is an essential element of your holiday, book a hotel with its own beach as these will be the best-maintained sections equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. There are still some decent public spots available for those who need them, tempting visitors with golden sand and clear water.
If you find yourself getting restless in your hotel resort, a trip to the city of Antalya is a great day out. Here you can find museums, a lovely old town, traditional bazaars and a lovely marina. There are also lots of bars and nightclubs, so this is the place to come for a night out! Indulge your inner child at Troy Aquapark, where you can enjoy waterslides, swimming pools and dolphin shows.
