Autumn rays, check. To properly sizzle, head in August when temperatures average 26⁰C. For winter sun highs, November’s 20⁰Cs+ will hit the sweet spot.

There’s more to Tenerife than just beautiful, glimmering coastlines. The largest Canary Island is also a stunner when it comes to natural scenery away from the Atlantic. Highlights include volcanic Mount Teide (the tallest mountain in Spain) and the Anaga Mountain Range. Both are ripe for exploration.

Stunning resorts for every kind of getaway

Last-minute holidays to Tenerife serve up resorts for all. For party animals, head to Playa de las Americas. With the fam? Flop away in Los Cristianos (which is close to Siam Park for waterslides galore). Something fancy? Costa Adeje needn’t costa lotta. For more escapism, stay in Los Gigantes. You’ll still find resorts, but there’s more local flavour. Or try historic Puerto de la Cruz in the north.

Tenerife offers warm weather on tap all year round, so there’s never a bad time to secure last-minute deals. For the hottest beach days peak summer (July–August) scorches with the highest temperatures in the high 20⁰Cs. Winter (December–February) isn’t too shabby either. Spend Christmas in the sun with temperatures up to 19⁰C and shake your tail feather at February’s massive carnival in capital Santa Cruz. Keen on the great outdoors? Spring (March–May) is ideal for hiking with spring flowers out in full, while autumn’s (September–November) lingering warmth is perfect for warm swims and coastal walks.
