Holidays to Playa de las Americas

This resort on the south coast of Tenerife is purposely built for tourism and, each year, thousands of holidaymakers flood to this community.

Playa De Las Americas is predominantly known for its partying and clubbing credentials, but it has much more to attract other types of tourists, including families. Attractions such as the water park and the beach, combined with the area’s accessibility, bring the tourists in, as well as the availability of cheap Playa De Las Americas holidays.

Playa De Las Americas enjoys warm weather all year round, with the summer months seeing the average temperature rise to the high-twenties. Clear blue skies and long sunny days are common during the summer, which is one reason why so many people visit this resort.

The winter weather is not too dissimilar to the summer, as there are long periods of sunny weather and the temperature generally remains in the low-twenties. This makes the resort an ideal location to bask in the winter sun, with cheap Playa De Las Americas holidays on offer during these months.

It has all to offer with eight beaches to choose from, most of them lined by bars and restaurants, ideal if you want to quench your thirst in the heat of the day.

Why not take a stroll to the pretty marina and admire the yachts moored on the clear blue waters, it’s easy to see why this is a firm favourite year after year.

Things To Do

Away from the beaches and bars for which the resort is so well known, tourists can also visit the Siam Water Park, located in between Playa De Las Americas and the nearby Costa Adeje. This theme park offers fun for the whole family. Test your bravery on water slides like Tower of Power and The Dragon.

The Central Park of Arona also offers tourists a place of tranquillity, with beautiful plants and 42,000 square meters of gardens to wander around. There is a playground as well, making it a great location for a family-orientated afternoon in the sun.

Take it easy on one of the 18 hole golf courses, ideal if your planning to party the night away in one of the many bars and clubs which stay open until early morning.

Food And Drink

If you’re after a totally different dining experience to what you are used to, then head on to Meson Castellano. This unusual eatery does not have a menu as such, with the waiters bringing out different tapas dishes based on the types of meat that you like, a true and genuine Spanish experience.

However, there are plenty of British and international restaurants to keep you well fed if you prefer something more familiar. There are numerous takeaways in the area for those stumbling home in the early hours, or searching for that hangover cure.

Those looking for a memorable night out should be heading to Playa De Las Americas. The nightlife here is the most vibrant in Tenerife and draws in thousands of partygoers looking for a good time each year. It has a diverse nightlife varying from cabaret to raves.

The resort is home to a vast number of bars and clubs that mostly centre around two locations – Veronica’s Strip and the Starco Commercial Centre. The night usually starts in Starco’s, as this is mainly filled with bars, then later on in the night, the party moves over to the clubs of Veronica’s, with the party then going on late into the night.
